Additional Details
This grant will be used to fund materials for a school club for Playdough Club. The primary goal of this school Club is to provide primary-grade students with a developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experience that strengthens fine motor skills, fosters creative expression, and builds confidence and collaboration
We aim to provide a calming, mindful activity that supports emotional regulation and collaboration with peers.
Students will meet together at least one a month to create different Playdough and clay creations. This time will be used to promote creativity and collaboration with peers. Students will have the opportunity to also use air dry modeling clay to create art that they can decorate, display, and possibly be integrated with school wide and classroom events or activities.
The Playdough Club provides primary-grade students with a developmentally rich, play-based learning experience that strengthens essential skills while fostering creativity, confidence, and a genuine love of learning. Through hands-on sculpting and modeling, students engage in joyful, meaningful work that supports their growth across multiple domains—fine motor skills, cognitive abilities, social-emotional growth, and academic readiness.
All funding would go towards purchasing materials used for the Playdough club for all club member students to have a variety of choices to create their projects, as well as storage and protective table mats.
