To enhance the audio output for our daily morning news program. Our current setup, provides lots of environmental echo and low-quality distorted/muffled sound. The ultimate goal is to provide a high-quality program in which our school news is presented clearly, professionally and without interference.
Our student news team works diligently to put on a daily news program for our entire student body. While their work is driven by providing a high-quality show, it is unfortunate that some of the equipment is outdated and the acoustics of the news room needs special attention. This grant will allow us to purchase functional microphones as well as providing carpeting and wall padding to help reduce sound waves within the news room.
All students watch the daily morning news broadcast. It is through this outlet that pertinent information is presented, including messages from our school leadership team. This presentation allows us all to start our day with important information that is essential to our communication efforts. Enhancing the audio/sound will allow all stakeholders to hear information clearly and without issue.
The budget will allow for the purchase of new high-quality microphones, a large carpet and sound absorbing acoustics panels.
