Additional Details

My goal is to make sure that all students have access to basic materials to be successful including paper and writing utensil. Students often come to school without a writing utensil, lose or break their pencil during the day. The goal is that they will always have access to a pencil, eraser and a way to sharpen that pencil so that it can be used and paper to write on.
Pencils, paper, erasers, and sharpeners will be purchased and made available to students that need them.
Pencils and paper are essential tools that support student learning. They encourage students to learn from their mistakes, show their work, and organize their thoughts more clearly. Writing on paper helps improve focus, memory, reading comprehension, and information retention while reducing distractions from technology. It also allows students to review their thinking, solve problems step by step, and communicate their ideas effectively. Because pencils and paper are inexpensive, reliable, and always available, they help ensure that every student has the materials needed to participate in class and complete their work.
Funding will be used to purchase essential science classroom supplies, including pencils, markers, colored pencils, highlighters, erasers, pencil sharpeners, paper, and rulers. These materials are used daily to support science instruction, laboratory activities, data collection, scientific drawings, note-taking, graphing, and classroom assessments.
