The purpose of this project is to provide adapted art supplies for students in grades K-5 with diverse learning, physical, sensory, and developmental needs. Using specialized art materials, students will have equitable access to creative experiences that promote self-expression, fine motor development, communication skills, and confidence.
The adapted art supplies will be used throughout the school year to provide accessible, hands-on art experiences for students in grades K-5 with diverse learning, physical, sensory, and developmental needs. Students will participate in a variety of art projects that encourage creativity, self-expression, and skill development while ensuring that every child can engage successfully in the artistic process.
Adapted art supplies provides students with diverse abilities greater access to meaningful, engaging, and successful art experiences. These materials help remove barriers that may otherwise limit participation and allow students to fully more indepedantley express their creativity alongside their peers. It helps improve fine motor skills, increased independence, self-esteem and sensory exploration.
Grant funds will be used to purchase adapted art supplies and materials designed to meet the unique needs of students in grades K-5 participating in adapted art and regular art curriculum instruction. The purpose of this funding request is to purchase adapted art supplies that will provide equitable access to visual arts instruction for students in grades K-5 with diverse learning, physical, sensory, and developmental needs. These specialized materials will enable students to participate fully in art activities that promote creativity, self-expression, fine motor development, communication, and social-emotional growth.
