The goal of this project is to provide our high school theater program with an Eartec wireless headset communication system to improve communication, collaboration, and safety during rehearsals and live performances. This technology will allow student directors, stage managers, technicians, and backstage crew to communicate clearly and efficiently without disrupting the performance.
By providing students with access to professional-level communication equipment, we will strengthen their technical theater skills, increase their confidence and responsibility, and give them authentic experience with the tools and practices used in professional theater productions. The system will also help our students work together as a cohesive production team while creating a safer, more organized, and successful theater environment.
The Eartec wireless headset communication system is a professional-quality, hands-free communication tool designed to allow theater production teams to stay connected during rehearsals and live performances. The system provides clear, reliable communication between stage managers, directors, technicians, and backstage crew without requiring students to leave their positions or interrupt the production.
The wireless headsets will be used during rehearsals, technical rehearsals, performances, set changes, lighting and sound cues, and emergency situations. Students will learn how to communicate using professional theater terminology and protocols while gaining valuable hands-on experience with technology commonly used in theatrical productions.
This equipment will help our theater program create a more organized, efficient, and safe production environment while giving students meaningful opportunities to develop teamwork, leadership, communication, and technical theater skills.

The students will further benefit by learning professional theater practices and gaining experience with equipment and communication procedures used in the performing arts industry. Finally, the system will help to improve problem-solving skills as students communicate in real time to address technical challenges, scene changes, missed cues, and unexpected situations.
Funding is requested to purchase an Eartec wireless headset communication system for our high school theater program.
