My goal is to provide all students with access to quality, durable, and comfortable headphones while they work independently on their laptops in Technology class. Reliable headphones are an important part of our learning environment, allowing students to clearly hear instructional content, complete interactive lessons and assessments, and remain focused without distracting the students around them.
I have specifically chosen USB-style headphones rather than traditional single-plug headphones for durability and operational reasons. In the past, the single-plug headphone jacks have frequently broken off inside the laptops due to normal student use or improper insertion and removal. This not only makes the headphones unusable but can also create problems with the laptop itself. USB headphones provide a more durable and practical option for frequent use in an elementary technology classroom.
I am requesting two complete class sets of 30 headphones, for a total of 60. Having two full sets will ensure that I have enough headphones available if classes need to be combined or doubled during the school year, if Related Arts class sizes increase, or if additional headphones are needed due to damage or replacement. These headphones will remain in the Technology Lab and will be available for students across multiple grade levels, making them a valuable resource that can support technology instruction for many students throughout the current school year and in future years.
Students will use the headphones throughout the school year to complete a variety of technology-based activities, lessons, projects, and assessments in the Technology Lab.
