The goal of my project is to enable students to play various thinking skills games during our monthly LIM school wide club day. Through the use of games the students will be able to enhance their logical and critical thinking skills.
The students will be given a variety of games to choose from to play across grade levels in order to build thinking skills.
Board games and thinking skill games provide significant cognitive, and academic benefits for students. Through the blending of entertainment with structured challenges, these games will act as a powerful workout for the brain while helping students apply classroom concepts in a relaxed, low-stakes environment.
The purpose of funding for this grant is o purchase a variety of durable, high-quality strategy games, and abstract logic puzzles. These games will help students synthesize complex skills, build strong reading and mathematical comprehension, practice teamwork, and develop emotional resilience during decision-making that will be made while playing games.
