My goal is to provide my students with a comfortable, flexible seating option that promotes focus, engagement, and student's growth while creating a special place to celebrate leadership. The beanbag chair will be available as an alternative setting option for students who benefit from movement and fleixble learning environments.
Students will use the beanbag chair as a flexible seating option during independent reading, small group instruction and classwork. They will have the opportunity to choose seating options that helps them feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn. Each week, the beanbag will also become our "Leader's Seat" where our Leader of the Week can sit while being recognized for demonstrating kindness, responsibility, and positive leadership.
This project will give students greater choice and comfort in their learning environment, helping them stay focused, engaged, and motivated. Flexible seating can support students with different learning needs providing an alternative to traditional chairs. The "Leader's Seat" will also encourage positive behavior while celebrating students' success! This project will help create an inclusive classroom where students feel recognized, valued, and confident in their ability to succeed.
