Our Immokalee High School Success Center is looking to fund a project that will help our students learn valuable manufacturing skills. This 3D printing project will be student designed and student led. They will learn to program the printer and produce their models. The 3D printed items would be used as spirit items.
Students will master manufacturing, marketing, and financial management in this course. Students will learn about the technology to create their items than they will work as a marketing team to promote and find ways to sell their items. Student profits from the created products will be managed by our bookkeeper and our athletic booster club will award scholarships with these profits to seniors. These lessons will continue for years to come.
Our senior students will be able to design spirit items for sports and other clubs that they would like to see produced to increase school spirit among students. Instead of going through a third-party, all our designs will be made by students and then we can produce them and sell them at a reasonable price. Profits will be managed by our bookkeeper and the athletic booster club will award scholarships to seniors with the profits.
Funds will be used to cover the cost of the 3-d printer and the filament used to create the spirit items. This will allow students to produce items that will earn additional scholarship funds instead of relying on donors to create and fund scholarships.
This will be an internal method that we can generate scholarship funds for students. Each sport or club would be able to create custom items to sell at games that are unique to their team.
