The goal of this project is to provide quality, realistic, colorful images to better help ELL/LY students as well as students with special needs to make real world colored pictures connections through pictures and words. This project will also benefit students that need assistance with routines/classroom expectations and behavior plans that use visuals throughout the day for visual schedules, token boards and daily reminders.
Students that are needing ELL/LY support and students in need of visuals whether for procedures/routines or for behavior reminders and expectations will be able to have real world colored pictures to better connect them to the real world. Students that rely on token boards and visual reminders will greatly benefit from the pictures being in color to better associate them with items they are working for.
The students will be able to make connections more readily to the real world through visuals and pictures.
The budget will be used for one colored printer and 2 sets of ink to use throughout the year for the Kindergarten team. Many items will only need to be printed one time but items can be customized for more individualization as students need them.
