The goal of this project is to provide our Practical Nursing students with a meaningful Pinning Ceremony that honors their successful completion of a rigorous nursing program and welcomes them into the nursing profession. The nursing pinning ceremony is a long-standing tradition that symbolizes dedication, compassion, perseverance, and service to others. For our students, it represents the culmination of countless hours of classroom instruction, clinical experiences, studying, and personal sacrifice.
This helps to ensure that this important tradition continues and that every graduating Practical Nursing student has the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with their instructors and classmates. By supporting the Pinning Ceremony, each student will receive their nursing pin, hear from guest speakers, and celebrate while enjoying a nice breakfast. This pinning ceremony helps preserve a tradition that connects them to generations of nurses who came before them.
"Pinning" for nursing students has been a long standing tradition for any nursing school. It is important for these students to recognize the tradition and understand the importance of it's meaning. Recognizing student accomplishments during school and now welcoming them into the profession of nursing is a honor that I want to continue.
