Our Family and Consumer Science classroom provides students with valuable hands-on experiences that teach essential cooking, nutrition, and meal-planning skills. To support an upcoming unit focused on slow-cooker meal preparation, we are requesting six crockpots for classroom use.
Having additional crockpots will allow more students to participate actively in lab activities while learning safe food preparation techniques, time management, budgeting, and healthy cooking methods. Students will gain practical experience preparing nutritious meals and understanding how slow cooking can be an economical and convenient option for families.
These appliances will help create an engaging learning environment where students can apply classroom concepts to real-world situations. With six crockpots, small groups of students can work collaboratively to prepare recipes, build confidence in the kitchen, and develop lifelong skills that promote independence and healthy living.
