The Lines That Guide: Safe Fields for Bright Futures

The primary goal of introducing the Champion Sports Field Striping Machine is to eliminate physical safety hazards on our physical education fields by replacing loose, faded plastic cones with permanent, high-visibility boundaries. By utilizing bright, semi-permanent paint lines, we will drastically reduce student tripping injuries during high-speed active games and create unmistakable game zones that young learners can easily identify. This structural upgrade will maximize student engagement and instructional time, as classes will no longer be disrupted by shifted markers or confusing boundaries. Ultimately, this equipment provides a durable, weather-resistant solution that saves budget resources otherwise spent on sun-damaged plastic, fostering a professional and secure environment where students can focus entirely on developing fitness and teamwork skills.

This project brings a Champion Sports Field Striping Machine and 2 cases of Champion Marking Paint to our elementary school field. As a P.E. teacher, I want to replace old plastic cones with permanent, clean lines. Cones move when hit and cause kids to fall and get hurt. Sun rays also ruin the color of cones quickly. Sprayed field lines stay fixed in place, withstand bad weather, and can be touched up easily. This machine lets us paint precise tracks and fields for soccer, kickball, and fitness runs.

The requested total funds will be used exclusively to procure the essential hardware and supplies needed to establish safe, visible athletic fields. Specifically, the funding will cover one Champion Sports Field Striping Machine, a durable, long-term equipment investment that allows for straight, precise line application on grass. The remaining portion of the budget will purchase two Champion Marking Paint Cases, providing the initial supply of weather-resistant, bright aerosol paint designed specifically for grass fields. This paint withstands sun exposure and foot traffic far better than plastic cones, and can be easily touched up weeks later. This combined purchase represents a highly cost-effective investment that eliminates the recurring expense of replacing sun-damaged cones while immediately elevating the safety and professional quality of our school’s playing fields.
