The goal of Treasure Every Success is to increase student motivation, engagement, and academic achievement by recognizing students for successfully completing and passing instructional lessons and demonstrating continued academic growth.
Students in grades K–5 will have the opportunity to earn recognition for their hard work and academic success. When students successfully pass designated i-Ready lessons with a score of 80% or higher, they will earn an i-Ready Lesson Pass Ticket. These tickets will be entered into weekly grade-level drawings, giving students an opportunity to be recognized schoolwide and select a prize from our academic treasure box.
Through consistent recognition and positive reinforcement, this project will encourage students to take ownership of their learning, persevere through challenging tasks, set goals, and celebrate academic growth.
Our elementary students work throughout the school year to strengthen their reading skills through classroom instruction, intervention, small-group instruction, and personalized i-Ready learning.
Treasure Every Success will create an additional layer of excitement around academic achievement.
Each time a student passes an eligible i-Ready lesson with 80% mastery or higher, the student will receive a Lesson Pass Ticket to submit into his or her grade-level drawing. Each week, students from every grade level will be selected and publicly recognized for their academic success. Selected students will visit the school treasure box and choose a small prize.
Prizes will include age-appropriate items such as pencils, pens, erasers, bookmarks, stickers, small notebooks, fidget items, sensory toys, keychains, small games, art supplies, and other educational or motivational rewards.
The incentive is intentionally connected to mastery rather than simple completion. Students must demonstrate success on their instructional lesson before receiving a ticket. This helps reinforce the message that effort, perseverance, careful work, and mastery are worth celebrating.
The program will operate throughout the school year and will provide opportunities for students across grades K–5 to participate.
This project will provide students with immediate and meaningful recognition for academic effort and achievement.
For many students, particularly those who may struggle academically, reaching an academic goal can require significant persistence. Small incentives paired with positive recognition can make progress visible and give students something tangible to work toward while developing the intrinsic confidence that comes from experiencing success.
Students will be encouraged to:
Increase their effort and engagement during personalized instruction.
Work toward achieving 80% or higher mastery on i-Ready lessons.
Take greater ownership of their individual learning goals.
Persevere when academic tasks become challenging.
Celebrate academic growth and the success of their peers.
Develop positive attitudes toward reading and learning.
Understand that consistent effort leads to progress.
Because this is a schoolwide K–5 initiative, hundreds of students will have opportunities to participate throughout the year. The program will also provide teachers with another tool for celebrating student progress and creating excitement around academic growth.
Ultimately, Treasure Every Success will help build a school culture in which students recognize that learning, growth, perseverance, and achievement are accomplishments worth celebrating.
Grant funds will be used to purchase a variety of small, age-appropriate student incentives for our schoolwide academic treasure box. Because the program serves students in Kindergarten through fifth grade, having a variety of prizes will allow students of different ages and interests to select something meaningful to them.
Funds will primarily support consumable and replenishable incentives so the program can continue throughout the school year as students earn recognition for academic mastery.
No gift cards or food items are included in this request. Funds will directly support materials used to recognize and encourage student academic achievement.
Proposed Budget
Educational & School-Supply Prizes — $200
Fun pencils, multicolor pens, mini notebooks, bookmarks, erasers, pencil grips, rulers, and other student supplies.
Small Treasure Box Rewards — $200
Keychains, bracelets, mini toys, novelty items, small games, and other age-appropriate incentives.
Sensory & Fidget Rewards — $150
Small fidget toys, sensory items, stress balls, poppers, and similar student rewards.
Creative Rewards — $100
Stickers, art supplies, coloring materials, craft items, and creative student incentives.
Recognition & Program Supplies — $100
Lesson Pass Tickets, cardstock, certificates, labels, grade-level ticket containers, and materials needed to maintain the schoolwide recognition system.
