My goal for this project is to have fourth grade students act in the production of Finding Nemo Kids! Students will learn to sing, dance and act in the style of musical theatre. The community will then get to experience life under the ocean with the cast of Finding Nemo as they show off their hard work on stage!
Students will get to learn how to sing, dance and act in a musical theatre style. Students will build confidence on stage and develop a love for the musical arts. It will help create better friendships and school community as students will interact with peers that may not be in their class.
The benefits of this will be that students can try something new. Most kids at the elementary level have never acted in a musical before. It will help build confidence for students that may struggle with putting themselves outside of their comfort zone. It will also help students improve their musical abilities by giving them extra singing and dancing opportunities.
The purpose for funding this project is so that the funds in the music department can be used to get updated supplies for the classroom which will impact the entire school. This project impacts just the fourth grade students.
