At the end of the school year, we will have a banquet for all students who were part of academic teams - such as Academic Quest, Scholar Challenge, Noetic Math, The Great History Challenge, Spelling Bee, etc.
To make students feel it was worth it to give up after school, before school times, and weekends to participate in events that highlight brain power. To make students feel a sense of pride that they earned their own banquet for their efforts. To treat these students to their own banquet and to give them a small token celebrating their hard work.
Food for the banquet - about $10 per student = $1000
Recognition to commemorate the success of our champions such as a t-shirt or other gift - $10 per student - $1000
