My goal is to increase student engagement and learning by providing my third-grade students with access to BrainPOP. Its interactive videos and activities make challenging concepts more engaging and accessible while supporting instruction across all subjects.
BrainPOP will be incorporated into daily instruction in ELA, math, science, and social studies. Students will use videos, activities, vocabulary, and quizzes to introduce new concepts, reinforce skills, and review learning. BrainPOP will be used during whole-group lessons, small groups, and independent practice.
Engagement is an important part of student learning. BrainPOP research involving 450,934 students found that students who engaged with BrainPOP math skills monthly showed a 22% increase in learning gains, compared with 8% for students with less engagement. BrainPOP will help students build understanding, vocabulary, and confidence while providing visual and interactive learning opportunities.
Funding will provide a one-year BrainPOP subscription for my third-grade classroom. This resource will enhance my core instruction and give students an engaging way to learn and review concepts across the curriculum. It will be a valuable tool for increasing participation, supporting different learning needs, and helping students succeed.
