To prepare Engineering Academy students for success in college and the workforce by developing professional behaviors, recognizing academic achievement, and strengthening students' confidence during work-based learning experiences. Students who earn industry certifications will receive Engineering Academy professional attire and career readiness materials to represent Lely High School during internships, competitions, business partnerships, and community events.
Students will participate in career readiness workshops, certification preparation, mock interviews, networking activities, guest speaker sessions, and job shadow experiences. Students earning industry certifications will receive embroidered Engineering Academy polos and professional portfolios to wear during advisory committee meetings, career fairs, engineering competitions, and work-based learning experiences. The project reinforces professionalism while celebrating student achievement.
Students will develop professional workplace skills, strengthen communication and networking abilities, increase motivation to earn industry certifications, and represent the Engineering Academy with pride. The project will strengthen relationships between students and local business partners while preparing students for internships and future employment.
