Additional Details

The goal of this project is to create a safe, welcoming environment where students can connect with peers in their grade level during lunch and recess. Through structured opportunities to socialize and engage in cooperative games, students will build positive relationships, strengthen their communication and social skills, and increase their confidence. By providing a supportive space for meaningful peer interaction, this project will help foster a sense of belonging, improve student well-being, and encourage positive school connections.
During lunch and recess, students will be invited to participate in a weekly program called Lunch Bunch. Each grade level will have the opportunity to participate throughout the school year. During this 40-minute session, students will enjoy lunch in a safe and welcoming environment where they can socialize with friends and peers from different classrooms. After eating, students will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of games and activities designed to encourage teamwork, communication, and positive social interactions. Through these structured yet enjoyable experiences, students will build new friendships, strengthen existing relationships, and develop important social and communication skills. The program aims to increase students' confidence, foster a sense of belonging, and create meaningful connections among peers, ultimately supporting their social-emotional well-being and success in school.
