The goal of this project is to increase multiplication fact fluency, confidence, and motivation among fifth-grade students through a positive incentive program. This system encourages students to set personal goals, persevere through challenges, and take pride in their progress. Knowledge of the multiplication facts is the foundation for most of the 5th grade standards. To solve problems involving volume, division, measurement, with decimals, fractions, PEMDAS...having multiplication fact mastery will allow students to solve these types of problems with my accuracy. This accuracy will help them on assessments, which will help them on their final state assessment.
All students will be allowed to choose their Multiplication Mastery bracelet at the start of the year. Throughout the year, students will practice their multiplication facts and take multiplication fact quizzes. As students master each set of multiplication facts, they will earn a unique charm to add to their bracelet. Students will have endless opportunities to retest on their facts, in order to master each set and receive a charm. This means that students will progress differently and will have the time they need to be successful.
The Multiplication Fact Mastery Charm Program provides students with a fun and meaningful way to stay motivated while building the foundational math skills necessary for long-term academic success. There are quite a few benefits for this program! First, it allows students to increase their multiplication fluency, which allows them to solve 5th grade math problems with greater accuracy. Another benefit is that it boosts student motivation to persevere and practice their facts with more frequency, as they are motivated to acquire charms. Gaining these charms adds the third benefit of increased student confidence. A last benefit I will mention is that mastery multiplication facts leads to higher test scores. This program will help the students to master the 5th grade content when they have mastered their multiplication facts. Overall, the Multiplication Fact Mastery Charm Program transforms routine fact practice into an engaging and rewarding experience. By combining positive reinforcement with clear academic goals, the program helps fifth-grade students develop strong multiplication fluency, increased confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the value of perseverance and achievement.
The request is for 195.00. This price will include the bracelets that each student in all three classes will receive for their multiplication facts, and then an additional bracelet for those that are able to master their division facts. The price will also include 18 different sets of charms. Giving a variety of charm choices will be able to meet the different interests of the students (sports, games, animals, school, etc...), which will encourage them to master their facts.
