My goal is to provide each of individual clipboards to students in my three classes, to support flexible, engaging, and collaborative learning throughout the school day. Clipboards will allow students to comfortably write and complete assignments anywhere in the classroom, during small-group instruction, large group instruction, and even outdoors. This will hopefully allow students the opportunity to move from the confines of their desk and chair, yet still be able to work.
Learning gets stagnant when always seat at a desk, so these clipboards will allow flexible learning and a chance for movement while still providing a "work space". Students will be able to participate in various activities that are spread about the room such as solving mathematical problems, filling out worksheets, conducting interviews, going on gallery walks where questions need to be answered, working out doors, and so on.
There are many benefits that come with being able to give student clipboards. Not only does it support flexible seating by allowing students the opportunity for movement, but it also encourages active learning and student engagement due to the opportunity for movement. This movement also allows for accommodations for diverse learners; it allows for maximization of classroom space so that workers can be separated more; it also helps to organize materials as well, helping to keep them organized with the movement.
The pack of 24 clipboards will be 32.00, purchased through Amazon. This will provide me a set of 24 clipboards, which along with the clipboards I already have, will allow for each student to be able to be responsible for his/her own clipboard.
