2026-2027 Classroom Grants Program
Cycle Information and Updates
Thank you for your interest in Champions For Learning's competitive Classroom Grants Programs. The Classroom Grant Portal will open on July 13, 2026, for requests for the 2026-2027 school year. Approved requests from school principals and CFL will be made public for funding consideration beginning July 20. The deadline for requests this year is September 10, 2026. Any approved requests after September 10 will be eligible for public funding only. Requests that are awarded funding by Champions For Learning will be announced by late October. The Classroom Grant portal will close for requests on March 5, 2027. Outcome Reports will be due by April 30, 2027.
Types of projects NOT typically covered include professional conference costs, out-of-county field trips, items considered to be "capital" costs (i.e., furniture and technology), food items, and gift cards. Grants with these items may be approved and shared for public funding.
Eligible projects that impact student success can include classroom supplies or equipment not covered under the school budget, local field trip costs, enrichment activities, school-wide projects, and other innovative classroom projects which spark student excitement and engagement.

ATTENTION! BEFORE STARTING YOUR SUBMISSION, whether you are new to the program or a returning participant, please review the important updates below:
- You are encouraged to view the Classroom Grant Resources Page and Champions For Learning Classroom Grants Tutorial for Educators for new and updated information and support, including a comprehensive tutorial, writing tips, exemplars, answers to Frequently Asked Questions, and more.
- The grant application components are from the generic, statewide application, so we developed a Technical Assistance Paper for teachers with more guidance. You will find specific questions for each component of the application as well as the evaluation criteria. Please review this document on our website, consider saving or printing it, and use it as a tool when composing your written responses. Please check out the exemplars from various subjects and project types that are available on our website as well!
- As you work on your submission, don't forget to save your work.
